Life Long Swimming


President of Royal Spanish Swimming Federation, Fernando Carpena, accompanied by the Valladolid Councillor for Sports, Alberto Bustos, and Rafaela Romero, Valladolid Councillor for Social Services, today presented the first H2OPENDAY in Valladolid, an international event aimed at over 55s, whose aims to promote the benefits of swimming as a healthy life habit.

In collaboration with the Association Lunga Vita Attiva, Lifelong Swimming is organizing a series of six appointments called “Pills for a Long Active Life” to promote information about aspects of healthy and active ageing.

Lifelong Swimming has been listed among the EU Best Practices in the Resources Page of EPALE  (Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe ) and EPALE ITALIA.

On February 2nd – 5th  the third project meeting took place at the University of Coimbra.

Lifelong Swimming in collaboration with the no profit Association Lunga Vita Attiva invited the Lifelong Swimming Community to meet back at the Bruno Bianchi Swimming Pool to socialise the results of the LLS Project and plan together future actions in Healthy and Active Ageing.

More than 250 swimmers gathered in the Parquesol swimming pool (Valladolid - SPAIN) to celebrate the 2nd edition of the 100 x 100 Charity Relay.
