The Turkish Swimming Federation organized the Lifelong Swimming H2OpenDay during the well known Bosphorus Race on July 24th 2016.
This traditional competiton has been organised for 28 years. It is the only race between two continents and has been appointed as best open water event 2016 in the world by WOWSA ( World Open Water Swimming Association).
It is for these reasons that TYF took the opportunity to promote the Erasmus Plus Life Long Swimming Project during the Bosphorus Race which offered a world stage.
A special Lifelong Swimming area was organized in the beautiful park of Kurucesme, finishing point of the race: here a LLS stand was located to promote the project and dissemination material was availble to present the project.
The Lifelong Swimming Team took part in the race and was formed by 87 over 60 male swimmers and 9 over 60 female swimmers.
