In November a special “Slow Swimming Course” was organized by FIN Federal Centre Trieste at the Bruno Bianchi Pool. It was developed in collaboration with Lunga Vita Attiva, the Cardio Vascular Centre and LILT (Tumor Italian League)
The course was free and open to participants affected by cardio vascular and chronic diseases.
The pilot course was restricted to a maximum of 24 participants who attended lessons twice a week for two months between November and December.
The course objective was to give participants confidence and a feeling of wellness when gliding in water: they were trained to breath in a correct way, take long and slow laps and eventually be aware of the movements in swimming.
The pilot course was very successful and will be repeated in 2017.
